If you’ve been to Statler Stitcher in Columbia, MO recently, you’ve seen the circular patterns used for test sewing of all the machines. A simular pattern is now included in the Patterns PrecisionStitch folder named “circle fun.dxf”. Creating these types of files has intrigued many, and the possibilities are limited only by your imagination (or trial and error). This tutorial will be broken into 2 sections to keep the file size within reason. Part 1 will cover setting up your own template Part 2 will cover drawing and creating the array Part 1: The Template Start by getting into the Drawing Options menu. This is done by using a “Right Click” over the drawing window and selecting Drawing Options.
The Drawing options menu has Tabs across the top for selecting different features in Auto- Sketch. The first tab to visit is the Drawing tab. This menu holds several options that help with our drawings by being able to set default snaps, rotation default and full screen cursor. When doing arrays, there are the number of segments or repeats to be considered, and the angle of each of those. The work is already done for us with this pulldown menu. Here are variables which work well.
